First Step
you start by removing the bumper by undoing the two 10mm nuts top and bottom on each side in the wheel arch edge

Ok so why the jack?
thought i'd at least better answer the question :-)
when you mount the towbar the center bolt to the upper bar is the fuel tank strap bolt
to relocate this strap the fuel tank and the towbar in their correct place the jack is invaluable
in the full writeup i'll explain it fully but i'm sure some of you get the gist :-)
